St. Johns Antigua
On August 16, 2023 14 volunteers traveled to St. Johns, Antigua to build a playground with volunteers from Kid Around the World and Bonnie Floyd Ministries. The volunteers consisted of 3 families with kids ranging in the ages of 10-17. Prior to this trip the volunteers worked hard to raise over $35,000 from their network of friends all along the East Coat to sponsor the cost of the playground build.
The playground was build in a community of around 10,000 people with average incomes of $20-$25/day. The land was donated by Mr. Pinder at the request of his mother and with the overall goal of building a larger community center surrounding the playground.
The volunteers ended up building the playground in 3 days with the help of the local community and several jackhammers.
